TODAY’S CHRISTIAN WOMAN by Evangelist Doris Davenport-Lowry The Bible is the world’s account of what was, what is and what will be. It is about God’s love for mankind and our struggle to respond to Him. Through the pages of the Good Book we discover the root of our worst sufferings and the nature of our deepest problems. It isn’t always easy to respond to God in a way that pleases Him and women have a unique history and set of challenges to overcome in our walk with Christ. Each of us, no matter what our background is represented in one way or another in the women of the Bible. From the beginning of time, through the Old and the New Testament, Women have played a major role in shaping history. Through a lively cast of characters: young, old, married, virgin, widowed, barren, wealthy, poor, professional, homemaker, prostitute, community leaders… we find all kinds of women playing a role in the building of God’s Kingdom.
